Electronic waste (E-waste) are items such as computers, monitors, laptops and televisions that are no longer needed and E waste is the fastest growing solid waste stream. Toxins in these products contain Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Nickel, Zinc, Brominated Flame Retardants. Most states have laws for electronic waste as it is illegal to throw these things in the regular garbage.There are programs set up in various states that arrange for disposal for free. (fees paid by manufacturers)
